Job summary

Holland & Barrett is seeking a Packaging Manager to lead the technical delivery of packaging across our production facilities. You will drive trials, line validation and production-ready packaging for both food and non-food products, collaborating with Operations, Engineering and Quality to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable production.

You will build packaging capability, manage complex change controls and work with suppliers to resolve material performance issues while focusing on cost,

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging development or engineering within FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, filling and packing processes.
• Experience leading packaging trials, line validation and first production runs.
• Proven problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Ability to work with Operations, Engineering, Quality and suppliers.
• Understanding of packaging specs, change control and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery and implementation of packaging in production facilities.
• Run packaging trials, line validation and first production runs.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Planning to support safe, efficient production.
• Investigate packaging-related issues using root-cause analysis.
• Use production insight to improve quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve material issues and drive improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturability, cost and performance.
• Build packaging capability and standard ways of working across facilities.
