Job summary

Holland & Barrett is seeking a Packaging Manager – Global Production Centre to lead the technical delivery of packaging across our production facilities, turning designs into reliable production solutions and ensuring safety and efficiency in every line.

Qualifications

• Packaging development, engineering or technical experience in FMCG/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, filling and packing processes and technologies.
• Experience with packaging trials, line validation and first production runs.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Collaborates with Operations, Engineering, Quality and packaging suppliers.
• Understanding of packaging specs, change control, and compliance standards.
• Ability to balance quality, efficiency, cost, sustainability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery and implementation of new or changed packaging in production facilities.
• Lead packaging trials, line validation and first production runs.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Planning to ensure packaging supports safe, efficient production.
• Investigate and resolve packaging-related production issues using root-cause analysis.
• Use production insights to improve packaging quality, line efficiency, reliability and reduce waste.
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve material performance issues and drive improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturability, cost, sustainability and performance.
• Build packaging capability and consistent technical ways of working across facilities.
