Job summary

The Global Onboarding Program Manager plays a key role within the Onboarding COE responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the onboarding program in alignment with regional needs. This role, reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition Operations & Programs, oversees the development and maintenance of onboarding frameworks, workflows, and processes, while also tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Your role in our mission
  • Global Expansion: Partner with the Global Process Owner to lead the global expansion of Iron Mountain’s Onboarding program, aligning roadmap with strategic initiatives.

  • Process Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for the entire new hire onboarding lifecycle, from pre-boarding tasks to onboarding activities.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with HR Business Partners, IT, Payroll, business onboarding coordinators, Talent Acquisition, Facilities, and other relevant departments to ensure all onboarding steps are coordinated and executed effectively.

  • Document & Compliance Management: Ensure all required new hire documents are accurately collected, processed, and stored, adhering to all legal and company compliance standards.

  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks in the global onboarding process, escalating complex problems as needed and driving solutions to prevent recurrence.

  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly analyze onboarding data and feedback to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, user experience, and compliance. Propose and implement enhancements to workflows and overall processes.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear and timely communication to new hires, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders regarding onboarding status and requirements.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain reports on key onboarding metrics, such as cycle time, completion rates, and new hire satisfaction.

2025-2026 Global Rollout Program Responsibilities
  • Provide input to the finalization of the Global Rollout Roadmap

  • Partner with the Global Onboarding/Offboarding workstream lead/project manager on key activities as per the project plan

  • Identify Onboarding COE resource needs, roles and responsibilities, and skill set to support the global rollout

  • Partner with Offboarding Program Lead to ensure coordinated project efforts on change management, deliverables, training, communication, etc.

  • Follow global design principles for the onboarding process and ensure systems are optimized in the delivery of the onboarding experience to employees and hiring managers.

Valued skills and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Substantial experience working in a Global Onboarding role

  • Solid understanding of standard onboarding procedures, compliance requirements, and best practices.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and process improvement.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with Workday and ServiceNow is a plus.
