Job summary

Healix is seeking an experienced Nurse Case Manager to join the Medical Assistance team in a primarily office-based setting with some opportunities for remote work. The role involves managing emergency medical assistance, repatriations, and providing medical guidance to policyholders.

Ideal candidates will be general nurses with current NMC PIN, at least 4 years in acute care, and experience in case management.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with a current NMC pin.
• 4 years of recent acute care nursing experience, including critical care.
• Experience in clinical case management is advantageous.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and IT proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and databases).
• Travel/ military/ overseas health experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage new and ongoing emergency medical assistance, claims, and repatriation cases.
• Provide non-diagnostic medical advice to policyholders and Medical Helpline clients.
• Provide clinical input to OH team in pre-deployment medical assessments.
• Escalate critical medical issues to appropriate case management.
• Check equipment on return from repatriations and ensure supplies for workload.
