Global Mobility & Employment Tax Specialist

We are seeking a Global Employment Tax Specialist to oversee employment and mobility tax matters across multiple jurisdictions. This role involves providing guidance on cross-border employment, international assignments, and incentive taxation.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Advising on the global tax treatment of international assignments, remote work, and business travel.
2. Evaluating and managing permanent establishment (PE) and corporate tax risks related to mobile employees.
3. Working with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local income tax, payroll, and social security obligations.
4. Liaising with external tax preparers and managing shadow payroll and hypothetical tax arrangements.
5. Collaborating with HR and Finance to ensure proper reporting, withholding, and gross-up procedures.
6. Driving process improvements and strengthening controls related to employment tax exposures.
7. Monitoring global tax developments concerning equity-based compensation, employee incentives, and benefits-in-kind.
8. Requiring 6+ years of experience in global mobility and/or employment tax, with Big 4 or in-house experience.
9. Preferred: experience in financial services.
10. Looking for a strategic, pragmatic, and commercially astute thinker.
11. Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong project management skills.
12. A self-starter with a sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.
