By joining the Global Mobility team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting UWE’s Colleges by helping to deliver international opportunities that enrich the student experience. You’ll help students gain valuable skills, global awareness, and the confidence that will enhance their academic journey and boost their career prospects after graduation.
You will play a key role in enabling UWE to access funding through the UK Government’s Turing Scheme. A critical aspect of this position involves developing and implementing robust processes in collaboration with the team to ensure compliance with all Turing requirements.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong communication skills as you will be liaising with individuals in different countries as well as with varying levels of seniority. You will need to be able to interpret complex information and explain it to a variety of audiences. You will need to be able to present information in a variety of formats, to students and staff. You will co-own a busy shared email inbox and manage a small team currently comprising X2 Global Mobility Officers. You will be proactive and organised, with the ability to handle conflicting deadlines.
You will have experience in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneDrive, Teams. You will feel confident working with various database applications specific to the University, and training will be provided to aid you with this.
You will be able to manage the work of the team, and lead on a number of projects to enhance the student experience. You will be able to work to deadlines and prioritize your own tasks, and tasks of the team within the academic cycle.
UWE provides training on its student record system. There are many other training courses on offer to assist with developing broader work-related skills in IT, management, project work as well as those related to personal wellbeing. Your needs will be discussed and regularly reviewed and a relevant training package agreed annually.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.

This is a part-time, permanent post, working 22.5 hours per week. The working pattern can be negotiated, but preference is for cover in the second half of the week to include a Friday.
