Job description

Our client, an oil and gas operator, is currently hiring a Global Mobility Advisor to join the London office on a long-term contract basis.

Purpose of role:

The Global Mobility Advisor is a key member of the HR Total Reward team, responsible for the smooth operation and administration of global mobility programs. This role supports the operational and strategic needs of an international workforce in the oil and gas industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating international employee relocations for a seamless transition.
  • Administering international relocations and repatriation policies, including compensation, housing, and tax support.
  • Coordinating with external vendors and service providers involved in relocation and mobility services.
  • Ensuring compliance with immigration, tax, and employment laws in relevant countries.
  • Providing support and advice to employees on global mobility issues.

Areas of accountability include:

  • Managing global mobility and expat programs, including pre-assignment, on-assignment, and repatriation processes.
  • Administering policies and packages to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
  • Liaising with external vendors such as relocation agencies and tax consultants.
  • Ensuring legal compliance related to visas, work permits, and taxes.
  • Supporting employees throughout their assignments.
  • Maintaining accurate records for reporting and analytics.
  • Contributing to policy development to reflect legislative and market changes.
  • Ensuring all activities adhere to health and safety regulations.

Critical skills:

  • Degree or relevant experience; HR certifications preferred.
  • Experience in global mobility or international HR, ideally within oil and gas or similar sectors. SAP SuccessFactors experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of global mobility processes, including immigration and taxation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
