Job summary

Verifone in the United Kingdom seeks a detail‑oriented Compliance Officer/MLRO to join its global compliance team. You will support second‑line activities, oversee regulatory reporting, audit management and due diligence, and help build scalable compliance artefacts using AI tools.

The role requires regulatory expertise, operational discipline and the ability to work with regulators, auditors and internal stakeholders across EMEA, the Americas and APAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance or related discipline.
• ICA/CAMS/CRC M or equivalent certification is a strong plus.
• Experience in payments/fintech compliance.

Responsibilities

• Be the MLRO for the Verifone UK entity.
• Point of contact for regulators.
• Support the collection and filing for Regulatory compliance reporting of licensed entities.
• Educate and coach staff within the Verifone Group on compliance best practices.
• Design internal mandatory compliance training and liaise with training/first line teams for execution.
• Coordinate compliance related reviews/audits from third parties.
• Own end‑to‑end management of incoming and outgoing compliance questionnaires (DDQs, client and counterparty due‑diligence requests, ESG surveys, regulatory information requests) and maintain a master response library.
• Design, develop and maintain compliance training decks and materials—translating regulatory requirements into clear content and tracking completion.
• Build and maintain compliance reporting dashboards using Anthropic Claude and other AI tools, automating data collection and producing management information for senior stakeholders.
