About the role:
The Medical Advisor will be a member of the global medical affairs team. The advisor will collaborate with Global Brand Leadership to provide medical input into commercial strategies and will collaborate with the medical teams in market to ensure a successful global launch. This role is expected to collaborate closely with the local medical affairs team, global medical information and global market access.

Managing strategic key projects, project portfolio or programs across LEO Pharma, as well as the ability to communicates and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders will be key objectives in this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide medical expertise and input into global medical affairs and Brand Strategy plans.
  • Develop Global KEE and Stakeholder engagement plans in accordance with the overall strategic plans.
  • Lead the development, attend and present as an expert at appropriate external and internal meetings (advisory board meetings, investigator meetings, KEE meetings, CME, Conferences, LEO meetings, etc.)
  • Contribute to Global IIS or Non-Interventional Studies (NIS) initiatives as assigned
  • Manage the medical budgets for specific Oncology projects
  • Develop and maintain up to date knowledge of the therapy area by reviewing the literature, discussions with KEEs and key stakeholders, participating in cross functional interactions, attending scientific congresses, etc.
  • Responsible for the medical and compliance review of external material
  • Trains and mentors’ new colleagues on therapeutic area and clinical pathway
  • Response to requests for scientific/medical support from external stakeholders
  • Provide continuous scientific updates to global teams as appropriate
  • Execute other duties as may be required by the Medical Lead and other members of LEO Pharma’s Management team as training and experience allow
  • Complete mandatory training in assigned timelines upon hire as well as when new policies, SOP's, guidance’s are issued
  • Attendance at national and international congresses as required


Qualifications:
Experience

  • Medical Doctor (MD), PharmD or PhD in natural sciences
  • 5+ years of experience from Medical Affairs roles in Oncology therapy area, including in-market medical affairs, with regional or global experience also being desirable
  • Experience in immunotherapies and product launches is preferred
  • Experience building and managing strong working relationships with external stakeholders
  • Commercial understanding, proven ability to successfully partner with Global Medical Affairs Teams and Commercial teams
  • Collaborative approach to ensure medical affairs strategy setting and alignment of local strategy and plans with the Global Medical Affairs strategy, as applicable
  • Desire to innovate and to drive the development of Medical Affairs excellence within LEO Pharma
