Job summary

Macquarie's Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) offers a nine-week Summer Intern program designed to give you hands-on experience across a global, entrepreneurial financial services environment. You'll work with a diverse team of experts—from geologists and meteorologists to data scientists, traders and advisers—supporting live projects and transactions.

Qualifications

• Studying a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, economics or finance.
• Structured and creative problem-solving with strong numerical ability.
• Collaborates with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive, resourceful with a strong work ethic.
• Curious and eager to learn about complex products and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyse market, client, risk or regulatory data.
• Develop quantitative methods, models, tools or platforms.
• Translate complex financial concepts into clear explanations.
• Investigate issues and support remediation.
• Contribute to improvements in processes and controls.
• Support client engagement and strategy communication.
• Collaborate with colleagues across trading, risk, technology, operations and other specialist teams.
