Job summary

CIBC in London is offering a Global Markets Summer Analyst Programme. This temporary role provides hands-on experience across capital markets and direct exposure to Global Markets with a broad suite of trading products and services.

Ideal candidates are finance/quantitative students in their penultimate or final year, with strong academics and programming skills (Python, Java, C++, C#). Availability June–September 2027 and valid UK work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Student in a finance/quantitative discipline
• Must be in penultimate or final year of degree
• Strong academic background with high achievement (A*AA or equivalent)
• Proficient in at least one programming language: Python, Java, C# or C++
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills
• Team player who can communicate complex ideas effectively
• Must be available June 2027–September 2027 and have right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to different asset classes by working with sales and trading professionals
• Assist in idea generation, financial markets analysis, and risk monitoring
• Attend and contribute to team meetings
• Buddy programme
