Job summary

CIBC Capital Markets London seeks a dynamic Summer Analyst for the Corporate Banking team. You will gain direct work experience, rotate across product desks and contribute to live transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Expect exposure to deal teams, financial markets analysis and risk monitoring, with a focus on infrastructure, renewables and energy transition in Europe. This is a 35-hour week fixed-term role in London.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills.
• Final or Penultimate Year Student.
• A team player who can communicate complex ideas simply.
• Genuine interest in a financial career with proactive approach to CIBC and our wider business.
• Must be available from June 2027-September 2027 when the programme is running.
• Fluent in English and the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an orientation session to learn more about the bank and Capital Markets in the region.
• Work within deal teams on live transactions, gaining experience across products, industries and clients.
• Rotate around product desks to understand how businesses and markets operate.
• Assist in idea generation, financial markets analysis and risk monitoring.
• Contribute to projects across industries during origination and execution phases.
