Job summary

Nomura’s SP&PC internship is a 9-week placement within the Securitised Products & Private Credit team in London. Summer Analysts work on real projects, with mentoring and buddy support, to understand structured finance, credit analysis and deal execution.

The program culminates in potential full-time offers for strong performers, with English fluency and collaborative teamwork emphasized. Selected interns gain exposure to origination, screening, due diligence, modelling and client interactions,

Qualifications

• Experience in structured finance or asset-backed lending.
• Familiarity with illiquid credit products.
• Ability to review financial statements and due diligence reports.
• Strong analytical skills and financial modelling.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare structured financing proposals.
• Assist in screening, risk approval and due diligence.
• Perform fundamental credit analysis and modelling.
• Participate in client and internal calls.
• Assist in day-to-day SP&PC processes.
• Assist in managing existing risks on the book.
