Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller for a growing UK manufacturing business based in Swindon. You will own the finance function across the UK and Europe, driving reporting, controls and commercial insight during a period of transformation.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification, extensive experience in manufacturing, and a track record of leading finance teams through change, with SAP and/or Dynamics 365 experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong analytical mindset.
• Experience as Financial Controller in SME/mid-sized organisations.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering or similar operational environment.
• Proven track record in change, turnaround or transformation settings.
• Experience using SAP and/or Dynamics 365.
• Experience in multinational organisations with intercompany transactions and compliance.
• Knowledge of German and Italian accounting requirements desirable.
• Experience supporting pricing analysis, product costing and commercial strategy.
• Experience leading and developing a finance team.
• Ability to challenge stakeholders and influence commercial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of day-to-day finance operations, reporting and controls.
• Lead the finance function through structural change and transformation.
• Deliver monthly management reporting, budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Improve and simplify finance processes, audit procedures, controls and reporting quality.
• Optimize SAP ERP usage and participate in Dynamics 365 implementation.
• Provide financial insight for product costing, pricing and commercial decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve working capital, cost control and visibility.
• Manage intercompany transfers and compliance across international entities.
• Support procurement with cost improvement initiatives and automation.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks and advisers; ensure compliance with US head office reporting.
