The Octagon Theatre is seeking passionate storytellers and dance practitioners to enhance their Family Programme in Bolton. Opportunities include leading storytelling sessions in libraries and dance activities at the Family Festival. Ideal candidates will be confident in working with children and eager to collaborate with diverse artists.
At The Octagon Theatre, we are looking for storytellers, dance practitioners, and community theatre artists to help deliver our Family Programme. We provide arts activities for families across Bolton through storytelling, puppetry, arts and crafts, and other creative practices.
We aim to expand our team of facilitators and are eager to collaborate with more Global Majority Artists for our family offerings. Practitioners should be confident working with children from Early Years up to age 10 and their families.
This summer, in July and August, we are reviving our annual Library Tour and seek performers/storytellers to deliver enchanting storytelling experiences to families in local Bolton libraries.
During the August bank holiday weekend, we will host our popular Family Festival and are looking for an enthusiastic dance practitioner to lead dance activities with families in our famous Disco!
There are additional opportunities to participate in delivering work through our Creative Engagement Department.
If you are interested in either or both opportunities, as well as future community engagement work at the Octagon, please complete the application form below and send a copy of your CV by 5pm on Wednesday 4th June.
If you prefer to apply via another format, such as video, or if you face any barriers accessing the call-out information, please contact us at participation@octagonbolton.co.uk.
