Job summary

Abcam, a Danaher business, seeks an Event Specialist to support the Global Events team in planning conferences, trade shows, and customer events from our UK base. You will manage end-to-end event logistics, coordinate with marketing, sales and vendors, and ensure on-site execution.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years in event planning, with strong organizational and communication skills. Experience with Eloqua, Cvent or Sales Cloud is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, event management, communications, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in event planning or conference management.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities, budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability across teams and levels.
• Experience with event technology platforms and lead management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Global Events team in planning and executing conferences, trade shows, customer events, corporate meetings, and other strategic programs.
• Manage end-to-end event logistics, including venues, registration, shipping, collateral, promotional materials, vendors, and on-site operations.
• Coordinate event setup, execution, and teardown while partnering with marketing, sales, and business stakeholders to drive attendee engagement and ensure successful delivery.
• Capture, track, and manage event-generated leads in Eloqua; maintain accurate event documentation, budgets, timelines, and operational data.
• Analyze event performance through post-event reporting, attendee metrics, lead generation results, budget tracking, and ROI insights.
