Job summary

Sea Global is partnering with a leading international law firm to appoint an experienced IT/Technology Procurement professional to join their global Procurement function.

You will lead category strategies, manage strategic sourcing projects and key supplier relationships, and provide commercial guidance through the procurement lifecycle within a hybrid UK-based setup.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of IT/Technology category strategies (Software, SaaS, AI, IT Professional Services).

Title: Global IT Procurement Category Manager

Sea Global is proud to be partnering with a leading international law firm who are looking to appoint an experienced IT/Technology Procurement professional to join their global Procurement function.

The Procurement team plays a key role in supporting the firm's international operations through strategic sourcing, supplier management, commercial insight and procurement governance.

This is an exciting opportunity to help develop a relatively new procurement function, helping to strengthen governance, improve processes and embed sustainable procurement practices.

You will develop and deliver category strategies, lead complex sourcing projects and manage key supplier relationships, providing commercial expertise and guidance to stakeholders throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of category strategies across all IT/Technology spend, with the main spend being Software, SaaS, AI, and IT Professional Services related.
• Manage strategic sourcing projects, including market research, supplier identification and evaluation, tender documentation, competitive sourcing processes and supplier negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders.
• Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, driving improved performance, commercial value and effective contract management.
• Support the development and implementation of the Global Procurement Strategy, policies and governance framework.
• Work closely with the Head of Procurement to continue developing and strengthening the Procurement function across the firm.

Experience & Requirements

• Proven experience within IT/Technology Procurement, ideally across Software, SaaS, AI, and IT Professional Services.
• Demonstrable experience developing and implementing category strategies and long-term sourcing plans.
• Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage and advise senior business leaders.
• Strong end-to-end procurement experience, including complex sourcing projects, competitive tenders, supplier negotiations and contract management.
