Sea Global is seeking a Global IT Category Manager (Procurement) to lead technology sourcing on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role sits in the procurement team of a leading global financial services organisation.

You will develop category strategies, manage end-to-end sourcing, negotiations, supplier governance and risk management across an international portfolio, partnering with stakeholders and suppliers alike.

• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or category management.
• Experience managing technology spend categories such as Software & SaaS, Cloud, IT Professional Services, Telecoms, or Licensing.
• Experience managing the full sourcing lifecycle from requirements gathering to tendering and award.
• Strong negotiation and contract management with proven value delivery.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and deliver category plans aligned with business objectives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activity, including pipeline management, tenders, benchmarking and contract awards.
• Manage complex and high-value commercial and contract negotiations.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and key strategic suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance for improvements and commercial optimisation.
• Ensure Third-Party Risk Management activity throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Job Title: Global IT Category Manager (Procurement)

Location: Belfast (Hybrid)

Sea Global is delighted to be supporting a leading global financial services organisation in the appointment of a Global IT Category Manager into their thriving procurement team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global procurement function on a 12-month fixed term contract basis and take ownership of strategic technology sourcing activity across a complex international business.

The successful candidate will provide specialist IT Procurement expertise, supporting strategic sourcing, commercial optimisation, supplier governance and procurement transformation initiatives across a broad technology portfolio.

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver category plans aligned with business objectives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activity, including pipeline management, competitive tenders, benchmarking, supplier selection and contract award.
• Manage complex and high-value commercial and contract negotiations.
• Build strong relationships with wider business stakeholders, as well as key strategic suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and commercial optimisation.
• Ensure appropriate Third-Party Risk Management activity is completed throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Experience & Requirements

• Proven experience within Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category Management.
• Demonstrable experience managing one or more technology spend categories such as Software & SaaS, Cloud, IT Professional Services, Telecoms, or Licensing.
• Strong experience managing the full sourcing lifecycle, from requirements gathering and supplier selection through to tendering, negotiation and contract award.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of delivering measurable value.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
