Global Inventory & S&OP Lead, Ingredients – Your future position?


In this exciting role, you will be responsible for establishing the inventory strategy for the full Ingredients Portfolio and execute it in partnership with operations and supply chain teams. You will also participate in the proper execution of the global Ingredients S&OP process. This position requires an experienced leader able to facilitate and drive results in a fast-paced and demanding environment, leveraging strong interpersonal and leadership skills. You will work closely with Ingredients Global Manufacturing Organization, Global FIB, Regional and local Supply Chain, Controlling, and Global GBS Supply Planning.


This is a fixed-term contract for 1 year.


Flexible Location: This position can be covered from Argenteuil (France), Ashford (United Kingdom), Baierbrunn (Germany), GBS Budapest (Hungary), Sant Celoni (Spain), and Vernier (Switzerland).


Reporting to the Global Head of Strategic Supply, your main responsibilities will be the following:

  • You will oversee the global inventory for the ingredients category across all F&B sites as well as the full inventory at the specific F&B ingredients sites.
  • Support the Ingredients Manufacturing sites towards the achievement of the Inventory Targets. Take appropriate actions to keep inventory under control.
  • Recommend and maintain efficient inventory levels at the various stages of the ingredients supply chain to achieve Inventory and CDI targets while still achieving customer service level.
  • Prepare and present the inventory results and projections for the Ingredients Sites during the monthly Global Inventory Calls.
  • You will guide Ambrofix Inventory Optimisation.
  • Lead the global S&OP process for Ingredients, fed by inputs from the ingredients supply & demand reviews.
  • You will prepare Executive sessions with options evaluation, costs & benefits associated.
  • Create the S&OP minutes, communicate main conclusions to team members and perform follow up of the actions.
  • Document and share best practices, processes and ideas across the business’s supply chain operations to guide continuous improvements in all aspects of business operations.
  • Work closely with global and regional teams to drive complexity reduction.

Key to success in this position is the ability to combine hard skills including deep knowledge of Givaudan Ingredients Supply Chain, Planning systems and processes, as well as soft skills including leadership, relationship building, influencing, and facilitation skills.


Your professional profile includes:

  • Engineering degree – MSc in a technical field is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Ingredients Operations and/or Controlling function.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated proficiency in Demand & Supply management, Inventory Optimization with an understanding of their Financial and Operational impacts.
  • Decision quality, being able to offer ideas to solve problems based on good information.
  • Excellent communication & command skills.
  • Able to work in a matrix environment and to work with diverse partners.
  • Fluency in English; French or Spanish is a plus.
