Job summary

WSET invites an experienced instructional designer to create accessible, engaging learning resources for global audiences across online, blended and face-to-face formats. Under the Instructional Design and Content Development Manager, you will apply ADDIE, accessibility and adult-learning principles to improve courses.

You will collaborate with Educational Development and Qualifications teams, work with third-party providers, and maintain knowledge of Canvas LMS and tools like Genially and

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in instructional design and/or the creation of learning content.
• Experience of working with subject matter experts to develop accurate and effective learning content.

Responsibilities

• Apply needs analysis techniques to identify learner requirements and learning objectives, with consideration for accessibility.
• Collaborate with Research & Development teams to gather information that supports curriculum and course design.
• Work with Project management to support the timely planning and delivery of instructional content.
• Use learner personas and other available learner insight to inform course content and delivery approaches.
• Contribute to project planning and scoping for learning design work, in line with agreed priorities and objectives.
• Keep up to date with developments and good practice in digital, blended, synchronous and asynchronous learning.
