Job summary

TMX Group is seeking an enthusiastic Index Analyst to join our global index operations team. You will research corporate actions and ensure accurate calculation, implementation, and dissemination of index products across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; design, manipulate and maintain large datasets with precision.
• Strong understanding of portfolio theory, multi-asset allocation models, and financial mathematics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort speaking to internal teams and clients with varying levels of subject matter knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Index Portfolio Management: Oversee and maintain a portfolio of global indexes across markets and client needs.
• Index Calculation & Dissemination: Validate daily index calculations and data dissemination per methodology guidelines.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct QA to ensure data accuracy for index calculations and corporate actions.
• Corporate Action Research: Research and monitor global corporate actions using internal/external datasets.
• Impact Analysis: Analyze events to ensure alignment with index methodology and inform stakeholders.
• Data Feed Monitoring: Track key data feeds and ensure ongoing data accuracy.
• Client Reporting: Produce index statistics, factsheets, and presentations for clients.
• Custom Reporting: Design automated reports for index licensees with actionable insights.
• Client Support: Respond to inquiries on corporate actions, statistics and marketing collateral.
