Job summary

SmartestEnergy is seeking an experienced Test Analyst to join our team and ensure software and systems are high quality, reliable, and fit for purpose. You will analyse requirements, develop test plans and cases, and drive end-to-end testing across diverse programmes, projects and supplier releases.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Test Analyst or software testing role with strong test design and execution skills across the end-to-end testing lifecycle.
• Experience creating and maintaining test artefacts including test plans, scenarios, test cases, defects, evidence, regression libraries, and test completion reports.
• Experience managing UAT and testing across multiple concurrent and integrated-system deliveries, ensuring effective coverage and coordination.
• Proficient in test management and defect tracking tools with a strong understanding of testing, quality, and reporting metrics.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements, develop comprehensive test plans and test cases, and deliver effective testing throughout the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle.
• Work with project teams, developers, subject matter experts and business stakeholders to identify risks, manage defects, monitor testing progress, and report on quality and readiness for release.
• Contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement by applying testing best practice and ensuring solutions meet business requirements for end users.
