Job summary

Baker Hughes seeks a Global Field Service Engineer - Winder to perform HV winding inspections, testing, and repairs on turbine/generator windings at customer sites worldwide. You will travel extensively, sometimes offshore, to deliver on-site services and ensure technical excellence.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years HV winding experience, an accredited Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Accredited Electrical Engineering qualification or equal experience.
• Minimum 8 years HV winding experience on motors/generators.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Willing to travel overseas up to ~29 weeks per year.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform HV winding inspections, electrical testing, maintenance, and repairs on generator windings at global sites.
• Carry out field service assignments globally in onshore and offshore environments.
• Interpret specifications and technical drawings for winding work and repairs.
• Generate detailed daily reports for customers and project managers.
• Lead and work with contract technicians on site and ensure safety compliance.
• Assist mechanical engineers and perform on-site windings strip and rewinds as required.
