Job summary

Lucy Walker Recruitment is partnering with a global organisation in North Yorkshire to appoint an experienced HR Manager to lead the UK HR function. The role oversees a small team across multiple sites and requires a hands‑on leader who can drive change, implement policies and align practices with the Group HR strategy.

You will manage employee relations, succession planning, training, and performance processes, while ensuring compliance and high engagement across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven and experienced HR Manager.
• CIPD Level 7 qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the wider business.
• Significantly contribute to Group HR practices & objectives.
• Foster a high‑performance culture across sites.
• Line manage HR team including training, career development & appraisals.
• Keep job descriptions up to date to support performance management.
• Implement training and development agenda; identify areas for improvement.
• Measure employee satisfaction and identify improvement areas.
• Manage talent and succession planning.
• Implement services, policies & programmes.
• Handle employee relations issues proactively.
• Work with management to improve relationships, morale, productivity & retention.
• Support business needs through development, engagement, motivation & retention of people.
• Coach managers on performance issues and provide development guidance.
• Maintain relationships with external parties.
• Ensure thorough communication with wider business & management teams.
• Promote a culture of respect, performance and compliance.
