Support the Portfolio Manager in creating our Portfolio’s HR strategy; translate strategic plans into HR initiatives that achieve the end goal; and oversee the implementation within your Region to ensure all key objectives are met.

Be strategically minded and growth-focused, anticipating business needs in advance of the growth of Region, Groups, and VBUs. This includes identifying high potential talent within the Region for future roles, having robust EDPs and succession plans in place, and providing opportunities for the HR team to gain exposure and training in relevant areas, enabling their development and consideration for future roles.

Continuously develop strong business acumen by staying updated and aligned with our business strategy, goals, priorities, talent strengths, and risks. Keep informed of industry trends and market practices.

LEADERSHIP:

Build strong partnerships with key Business Leaders/Stakeholders (including finance, legal, IT) and gain their support for HR practices and initiatives.

Develop future HR Leaders to support our Region's growth, providing leadership, support, and development (including coaching and mentoring) for HR partners in Groups and VBUs. Organize, direct, and evaluate the HR Team’s performance in partnership with other leaders as needed.

Foster a high-performance culture, offering coaching to leaders to enhance their capabilities.

Lead or delegate regional HR Team policy and project reviews or initiatives, such as remote workforce capabilities, culture, and accountabilities.

CORE MEMBER OF THE VENCORA HR TEAM:

Partner with HR leaders to create programs, policies, and playbooks.

Develop and implement programs like career paths, high potential identification, succession planning, leadership and technical development, DEI initiatives.

Ensure consistent operational approaches to L&D, talent development, and succession planning across regions.

Support training delivery for senior leaders and managers on HR practices.

Represent your region’s requirements, providing business context and recommendations.

Leverage technology (e.g., Workday, Peakon) to enhance data analytics, measure success, and identify areas for improvement, providing reports and insights as needed.

REGIONAL EXPERT:

Stay current on employment legislation, ensure compliance, and mitigate risks. Liaise with global HR leaders and third-party specialists as needed.

Regularly review practices to remain competitive and improve processes.

MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS:

Lead or support HR due diligence and integration activities for acquisitions, working with global teams and regional HR leaders to align activities and timelines.

HR PARTNER:

Act as HR Business Partner supporting employees in the Rest of the World, managing the full employee lifecycle.

PORTFOLIO & GROUP FOCUS:

Partner with Portfolio Managers and Group Leaders on talent and organizational challenges, providing strategic and operational advice.

Manage annual HR processes and employee events, promote inclusion, and align policies across businesses.

Work on D, E & I strategies, enhancing organizational capabilities and training.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Strategic thinker with the ability to execute. Hands-on approach essential.

Experience in high-growth environments, managing ambiguity and change.

Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial drivers.

Extensive knowledge of employment law in the UK, Ireland, Europe, and familiarity with Africa and APAC.

Flexible to work across regions, confident in your expertise, and know when to seek additional advice.

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.

Proven problem-solving and project management skills across HR functions.

Experience in Software/SaaS/technology, Banking, Insurance, or Professional Services industries is highly desirable.

Willingness to travel as needed, often on short notice.
