About the role:
As the Global Health & Safety Manager, you will provide leadership, direction, a standardised framework and set the priorities on Health & Safety. Influence, train and coach Leaders and Managers to engage and lead a ‘mind-set’ change on Health & Safety and deliver a robust Health & Safety strategy across the business.
You will oversee the Devro and SARIA Food & Pharma oversight, pulling together themes and best practices on Health & Safety and ensure that programs are in place to reduce risk.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and delivering on the Health & Safety Vision.
- Setting the Health & Safety Policy and Strategy.
- Devising the Health & Safety Standards, Guidelines & Initiatives.
- Reviewing and auditing local policies and procedures.
About you:
Experience:
5 to 10 years’ experience of managing Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment. Background of leading on safety at a global level and interacting with safety teams.
Skills:
Strong communicator with good verbal and written skills. Influencing skills within the organisation and with external safety bodies.
Lead virtual / global teams through change and projects at pace.
Proven organisational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
Knowledge:
Qualified to degree level in Occupational Safety. In-depth understanding of International Health & Safety legislation.
Developing & leading on the Global Health & Safety programmes and initiatives.
