Purpose of Role

Support the delivery of end-to-end implementation of State Street’s Enterprise Continuity programme in line with global standards, helping the company prepare to resist, absorb, and recover from disruption. The position reports to the Global Head of Resiliency Continuity.

Support the delivery of the end-to-end implementation of the State Street Bank International GmbH Operational Resilience programme in line with global policy and standards, considering regulatory specifics in each branch of SSBI. The position reports locally to the Chief Administration Officer.

Provide end-to-end oversight of processes, ensuring desired outcomes from design through to delivery to achieve robust and repeatable resilience solutions that align with Resiliency by Design principles, supporting stakeholders within Business, Technology, and Risk.

The successful candidate will contribute across all aspects of the Enterprise Resiliency framework, including development of Standards, enhancement projects, and support for Business Continuity Directors and Advisors in their responsibilities.

This role will contribute to State Street’s operational goals and plans by partnering with divisional/group management and/or external organizations.

Major Responsibilities

Role Specifics

  • Provides oversight end-to-end for the Business Continuity programme globally and the operational resilience programme within SSBI, from design to execution, ensuring Business Leads and Resiliency Personnel understand standards and are supported by appropriate frameworks to manage risk.
  • Provides guidance and direction to Business Lines and Corporate areas on programme delivery and regulatory requirements via the Business Continuity Advisory team.
  • Provides input and guidance on enhancement projects to deliver effective solutions.
  • Leads the Resiliency Advisory Board to provide risk recommendations and escalate risks as necessary.
  • Defines roles and responsibilities for Business Continuity Directors and Advisors to ensure effective delivery.
  • Develops the Business Continuity Advisory team to include expertise across IT/DR, Third Party, Cyber, and related regulations across regions.
  • Provides opportunities for team members to participate in industry forums for programme development and personal growth.
  • Ensures connectivity between the Business Continuity Advisory team and related internal groups, such as Client Experience and Testing COE teams.
  • Presents status updates on the SSBI Resilience programme to the EMB and escalates deviations from policies or regulations.

Level of Education/Qualifications

Ideally a Degree level education.
