TP ICAP is seeking the Global Head of Operational Services to lead the client lifecycle management, reference data, and governance for a global group.

You will drive regional teams across EMEA, Americas and APAC, delivering operational excellence, regulatory compliance and data stewardship. The role reports to the Global Operations Leadership Team and collaborates with Compliance, Risk, Technology and Front Office to raise service quality and transformation.

Role Overview

The Global Head of Operational Services is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, operational performance and transformation of TP ICAP’s global Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Party Reference Data functions.

The role is accountable for ensuring the effective onboarding, maintenance and offboarding of clients, counterparties and related entities across the Group, while maintaining the integrity, quality and governance of Party Reference Data used throughout TP ICAP’s front-to-back ecosystem.

The role will lead globally distributed teams across EMEA, Americas and APAC and will be responsible for delivering operational excellence, regulatory compliance, client experience, risk reduction and strategic transformation initiatives. The role forms part of the Global Operations Leadership Team and will work closely with Compliance, Risk, Technology, Legal, Finance, Data Management and Front Office stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and develop the global Operational Services function across all regions.

  • Define and execute the strategic direction for Client Lifecycle Management and Reference Data operations.

  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and client service excellence.

  • Contribute to the wider Global Operations strategy and transformation agenda.

  • Lead annual planning, budget and resource management activities for the function. Responsibilities for strategic planning, operational efficiency, governance and resource management align with TP ICAP leadership role expectations.

Client Lifecycle Management

  • Ensure the effective delivery of operational services in line with agreed service levels, regulatory requirements, and business expectations.

  • Maintain oversight of the end-to-end client lifecycle, including onboarding, periodic reviews, offboarding, and associated regulatory controls.

  • Oversee Reference Data management activities, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and maintenance of critical business data.

  • Act as the senior escalation point for Operational Services matters globally.

  • Establish a globally consistent governance framework for client lifecycle activities

Risk, Control & Governance

  • Maintain a strong operational risk and control framework, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and internal standards.

  • Lead engagement with Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, and other control functions.

  • Ensure operational activities align with the firm’s risk management framework and governance requirements.

  • Establish and lead governance forums to drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the function.

Data Governance

  • Act as Data Steward for Operational Services within the firm’s Data Governance framework.

  • Champion data quality, ownership, and governance standards across Operational Services.

  • Ensure operational data is managed, controlled, and maintained in accordance with enterprise data policies.

Change & Transformation

  • Identify and deliver opportunities to improve operational efficiency, control effectiveness, and service quality.

  • Partner with Technology and Change teams to support system enhancements, platform migrations, automation initiatives, and operational transformation projects.

  • Ensure appropriate testing and implementation governance is applied to system and process changes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong partnerships with Front Office, Compliance, Technology, Operations, Risk, and other key stakeholders.

  • Provide timely management information, insights, and reporting to senior leadership.

  • Represent Operational Services in strategic initiatives, projects, and governance forums.

People Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and mentor regional managers and global teams.

  • Drive talent development, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement.

  • Ensure appropriate organisational structure, resourcing, and capability to meet current and future business needs.

  • Foster a collaborative global operating model that promotes knowledge sharing and operational resilience.

Experience / Competences

Essential

  • Significant leadership experience within Operations in a wholesale financial markets, capital markets, banking, or financial services environment.

  • Deep and demonstrated understanding of Client Lifecycle Management, KYC/AML processes, and operational controls.

  • Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams and driving organisational change.

  • Proven ability to design and improve operational processes, controls, and service delivery models.

  • Proven and robust stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior business leaders and control functions.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Experience interacting with regulators, auditors and senior executive stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience managing risk, governance, and regulatory obligations within an operational environment.

Desirable

  • Deep knowledge of wholesale financial markets and post-trade operational processes.

  • Experience leading data governance, data quality, or reference data initiatives.

  • Experience delivering technology-enabled transformation, automation, or operating model change.

  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence programmes.
