EMBL‑EBI Training seeks a Head of EMBL‑EBI Training to lead strategy, innovation, and delivery from Hinxton, reporting to the Head of EICAT. You will guide the EMBL‑EBI Training team and contribute to the EICAT leadership group, shaping data-science training and AI-enabled initiatives across open science and capacity building.

You will influence global training ecosystems with partners like ELIXIR, UNESCO, and EOSC, driving open, FAIR, inclusive data science training for the global life‑science

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent) in life sciences, engineering, or related technical field.
• At least five years’ experience in advanced scientific or technical training leadership.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality training across academia, industry, government, and the public sector.
• Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects; success in securing external funding.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Collaborative, collegial style; able to inspire resilience and lead through change.
