Global Head of IT Procurement – Remote (with infrequent travel) - £70,000-£95,000 + package (car allowance + bonus (10-20%))

This privately funded global organisation is looking to recruit a charismatic Procurement professional to develop a strategic Procurement & Supplier Management service for the IT function. The ‘Head of IT Procurement’ position hasn’t existed before, so the organisation requires an influential figure with the gravitas needed to build stakeholder support and stimulate demand to deliver significant value for the organisation.

This greenfield role, immediate responsibilities will include educating executive stakeholders across the group to build consensus and increase the appetite for cost savings; and implementing a strategic supplier management framework.

Not only will the successful candidate be the key figure in driving this high spending procurement function towards best-in-class, they will be leading a global team of 3 – with opportunity to grow the team in the near future. This leadership role will look after all IT subcategories (Software, Hardware, AI etc.).

As Head of IT Procurement you will:-

• Design best-in-class supplier relationship management frameworks and methodologies to sustain value throughout the life of the IT contracts
• Work within a non-mandated Procurement setup, building strong relationships with C-suite stakeholders to enable Procurement to play an influential role in the Firm’s future
• Initiate new relationships with executive and Board level stakeholders including the CTO and CFO, improving Procurement’s image amongst the IT community and positioning Procurement in the driving seat for key projects
• Establish new processes and systems for effective procurement across the organisation
• Look to mitigate all risk to categories and business, keeping abreast of legal changes to ensure no critical supply failures occur

Required experience:-

• Track record of successfully leading teams of experienced Procurement professionals
• Procurement expertise across IT & Technology categories
• Collaborative and engaging style, with an exceptional ability to forge fruitful relationships with business executives
• Hands on Procurement experience – with recent experience of negotiating with large Technology vendors
