The Credit business within the Global Broking division is one of the core asset classes within the TP ICAP offering, spanning Voice & Hybrid activities, Liquidnet D2C & D2D and Coex Agency. The business requires dedicated support in implementing technology advancement and innovation to meet its clients’ requirements.

This role is for a Global Credit Product Manager who will work within the front office and will lead on setting and delivering the global product strategy and technology product roadmap. This individual will work with the technology groups in the EMEA, Americas and APAC regions to guide the SAFe Agile Release Train in achieving the Product OKRs, KPIs, clients’ needs, and business goals. They will be solutions focused, and responsible for ensuring that the maximum business value is achieved throughout the lifecycle of any product solutions.

The Global Product Manager will work hand in hand with the Global Head of Credit to set and implement the technology strategy across all Credit protocols. The role will oversee any regional Credit product managers to ensure delivery of the localised plans. The Global Credit Product Manager will support the commercial leads and global Sales Teams in communications with clients to drive platform adoption and reporting of the post-delivery KPIs and other success measures to the Board and other stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities

The role involves the following activities to achieve these objectives.

Develop and execute a comprehensive global strategy for the Credit product suite, aligning with market trends, client needs, and regulatory requirements.

Be accountable for the vision and product roadmap for the Agile Release Train (“ART”), ensuring it aligns with the company’s business strategy

Champion business goals and projects within technology.

Communicate the product strategy and end to end plans to senior business stakeholders.

Train teams on the product and the strategy within Global Broking, and the wider group businesses.

Continually build and share knowledge as the subject matter expert on business & group products, regulations, and workflow within the product design process.

Define, prioritise and maintain the product roadmap with inputs from the Product Owners, Release Train Engineer (“RTE”), and System Architect, ensuring it is inspiring but achievable as well as responsive to changes in business objectives and client needs.

Work closely with Global Product Managers across other asset classes to share knowledge, recognize commercial and technological synergies, and increase collaboration and communication.

Analysis

Understand platform & product usage and performance – set direction for improvements of these products

Identify opportunities to improve the business profitability, process, and efficiency through technology change.

Identify risks and issues in the current landscape and make recommendations to mitigate and resolve

Acutely understand the business requirements, business case, and market demand for the product, ensuring these are fed into the Product backlog and effectively cascade these demands to the Product Owners.

Product Development

Develop and drive initiatives through the product design and governance process

Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and market analysis to adoption, and ongoing optimization.

Develop, own, and deliver the Technology Product Roadmap for the business line.

Recommend solutions and challenge stakeholders on impact of Integration, new business initiatives, and regulatory change on the roadmap.

Drive the high level priority, scope, and schedule and budget trade-off decisions with business, ensuring a customer-centric approach throughout.

Bring innovative ideas and approaches to the business technology stack.

Planning & Delivery

Develop high level functional, non-functional, and data requirements for new initiatives.

Provide direction and drive decision making, enabling the delivery teams to execute the plan effectively.

Analyse the impact of project change to the related business functions and stakeholders.

Ensure any project impact is communicated and accepted by the appropriate business functions, prior to implementation.

Be responsible for raising any issues, risks and dependencies that could impact delivery timelines

Accountable for defining and reporting of Agile Release Train OKRs alongside the RTE

Support the quality process at each stage of the product lifecycle.

Communicate training, rollout, and transition plans to the business stakeholders, alongside Product Owners and Product Sales teams.

Work with the technology service teams to monitor, maintain, and improve the level of service.

Market Analysis

Research global market dynamics, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting Credit products, providing insights to inform decision-making.

Client Engagement

Collaborate closely with clients to understand their evolving needs, ensuring the development of innovative Credit products and solutions that meet and exceed expectations.

Adopt a customer-centric mindset and aim to empathise with the clients when building solutions.

Understand platform & product usage and performance – set direction for improvements of these products

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Brokers, Sales, Technology, and Control and Support functions, to ensure seamless product design, development, implementation, and internal and external adoption.

Be responsible for the smooth running of the Agile Release Train, working closely with the Release Train Engineer and System Architect to make crucial decisions on initiatives, preparing teams for PI planning, and participating actively in all ART ceremonies

Assess and manage risks associated with Credit products, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal risk management protocols.

Performance Monitoring

Outline Objectives and Key Results for the Credit business that align with broader business strategy, focusing success measures on outcomes, such as Value, Usability, and Viability.

Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regularly evaluate product performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement and growth.

Present the platform to clients and other key stakeholders, e.g., Board / Investors.

Work with the Global Head of Product, Senior Managing Directors, Desk Heads, Sales, Marketing, and the Client Relationship Team to create a strategic plan for client adoption.

Gather feedback from clients and other stakeholders on the platform offering and implement changes as and when required.

Training and Support

Provide training and support to Technology and global Sales teams, ensuring a deep understanding of Credit products and strategy.

Support and provide guidance to Product Owners in understanding the full scope of requirements for initiatives and supporting in prioritisation where required

Reporting

Produce and report KPIs, end to end plans, milestones, and client feedback on a regular cadence for appropriate committees and boards

Experience / Competences

Strong experience in a technology Product Management, Product Strategy role, or equivalent.

Thorough knowledge of the Credit asset classes, product life cycle from pre-trade execution to settlement & clearing, and macro environmental effects

Successful track record in developing partnerships with senior management, front office, and other key staff in leading a programme of business focused technology solutions

Client relationships across the Dealer and Client Credit arena

Experience of working in a client driven and product led organisation

Excellent communicator with good written and verbal skills

Strong understanding of applicable regulation

Experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or knowledge/awareness of the delivery approach.

Certifications in Agile methodologies including but not limited to SAFe Product Owner, SAFe Agile Product Manager, Leading SAFe, Scrum Alliance Product Owner, CSM, PSM 1 or ACPMPO.
