Role: Global Group Account Director (12 Month FTC)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom (2 days a week from our London offices)

About the role:

With an unmatched history and tradition of creating iconic products, consumer connections and experiences, our client has been defining sport culture since the beginning. And they’re not done. We are working with the client to build a dedicated global centralised adaptation dedicated team, which will deliver all their global localised remastering and adaptation needs.

Our team will support the client’s global markets from our centralised offices as well as being onsite/ nearsite with the clients in these markets. The support will span from ecomm , social, print and their retail content needs. This team will serve as the client's bespoke global adaptation global agency, working at the heart of their business.

We are looking for people who want to work closer with clients and brands, who are entrepreneurial and relish the opportunity to be a part of something new and dynamic.

Reporting to the Global Business Director, the Group Account Director oversees the team of 3x Regional Directors and 5x market Account Directors.

What you will be doing:
  • Line management of Regional Directors and Account Directors, with oversight of full Account Management team
  • Handle revenue growth through the existing portfolio and supporting new business wins
  • Provide accurate gross profit & MI reports to senior management, including margin management
  • Build strong value-add client relationships at various levels.
  • Work in true collaboration with the client and be responsible for Brand Guardianship on their projects to ensure that the client experience is as positive as possible.
  • Own the execution of projects, run rates and client satisfaction through catchups with job owners and the weekly account/project management WIP.
  • Help identify and convert business development and new business opportunities with assigned clients.
  • A strong passion for sport and particularly for the client's brand.
  • Ideally a strong background in a retail environment, both online and offline.
  • Travel between London and AMS will be required.
What you need to be great in this role:
  • Experienced leader and a strong understanding of how to motivate and develop high performing teams.
  • Experience of building and sustaining meaningful client partnerships whilst maintaining a strong commercial focus.
  • Results driven – creation of and delivery against business plans driven by growth targets
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to robustly present ideas to clients, and continually cascade knowledge / news throughout immediate team and the wider business
  • Confident working autonomously with partner or 3rd party agencies
  • Excellent presentation skills – both written and spoken
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.
  • Highly creative with the ability to generate ideas and practically contribute to studio output.
  • The ability to manage and develop team members and align their objectives to agreed KPI’s.
  • A clear understanding of all OLIVER services and products and how to utilise this knowledge to the accounts advantage.
  • Experience working with retail / sports sectors would be preferred.
