Global FX Regulatory Compliance Manager - MSS Regulatory Compliance

Within the Global Markets & Securities Services Compliance (MSSC) team, you'll support Markets Regulatory Compliance, advising on trading and sales activities within Global Foreign Exchange (FX Cash, FX Options, Commodities, GIS, and eTrading). You will collaborate with Sales, Trading, and Management to understand their strategies and provide independent evaluation and guidance regarding regulatory requirements, both within the UK and globally.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide independent advice, oversight, and challenge regarding risk management practices across GFX Sales and Trading to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and HSBC standards.
  • Offer compliance support for the GFX business, focusing on industry standards (FMSB, FX Global Code) and regulations such as MiFID, MAR, DFA.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and advise the business on implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Build strong relationships with GFX Non-Financial Risk teams, Chief Operating Office, and Sales and Trading staff to support governance and control frameworks.
  • Provide robust compliance advice and challenge to uphold HSBC’s role as Risk Steward.
To be successful, you should have:
  • Extensive experience in Regulatory Compliance, especially within eTrading and FX markets.
  • Knowledge of algorithmic trading control frameworks.
  • Understanding of benchmarks and related regulatory principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating issues and escalation.
  • Awareness of the FX Global Code is advantageous.

The role is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement.
