White Recruitment Limited is seeking a Freight Pricing Specialist in Birmingham to take ownership of quotations, negotiate competitive rates, and drive profitable sales within the Inside Sales team. You’ll work closely with branches and operations to secure cost-effective pricing for international shipments.

The role focuses on pricing enquiries, supplier negotiations and developing customer relationships to grow volumes and improve conversion rates in a busy freight forwarding environment.

Competenze

• Experience within freight forwarding, pricing, quotations or a similar commercial role.
• A good understanding of international freight movements and pricing factors.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate with customers, carriers and overseas agents.
• A proactive approach to following up quotations, winning business and developing accounts.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• The initiative to work independently while contributing to a wider team.

Mansioni

• Manage pricing enquiries for international shipments across origins/destinations worldwide.
• Source competitive rates using tariffs and negotiate with shipping lines, hauliers and agents.
• Prepare accurate quotations and follow up to maximise bookings.
• Build relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities to grow business.
• Support onboarding of new customers including credit applications and SOPs.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure pricing accuracy and smooth handover.
• Make proactive sales calls to prospective customers and grow freight services.
• Resolve pricing queries promptly to protect commercial relationships.
