Job summary

Invinity Energy Systems is seeking a skilled engineer to commission and support battery energy storage systems worldwide, onsite or remote. You will analyze data, perform O&M reviews, and develop procedures to improve availability and performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, proficiency in Python and data analysis, and willingness to travel up to ~30% including international sites. Right to work in the UK is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering is required.
• Ability to work safely and follow documented procedures with manual tools or willingness to learn.
• Ability to produce analyses, O&M procedures, root-cause and corrective actions reports.
• Proficiency in data analysis and programming (Python, Pandas, Bash, PowerShell).

Responsibilities

• Commission deployed systems around the world, onsite or remotely, and train others to perform this safely.
• Respond to issues escalated by field engineers, technicians, support partners and customer support personnel diagnosing and repairing complex electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Perform system analysis and development activities addressing operational issues, including data analysis and O&M reviews.
• Develop and deliver training for internal personnel, customers and support partners with potential travel.
• Develop data analysis standards to monitor system data and drive optimization actions.
• Engage with customers on operational issues to improve system availability and optimization.
• Support sustainment activities of earlier-generation systems to improve performance and maintainability.
• Monitor field systems and provide technical support with clear written and verbal communication.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the business and document improvements.
• Maintain relationships with customers and staff at all sites.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% globally, potentially up to four weeks at a time.
• Other tasks as required across customer sites and Invinity premises.
