Job summary

Global Leader in Combustion & Environmental Engineering in the UK is seeking a Field Service & Commissioning Engineer to install, commission and support advanced combustion systems at client sites.

You will travel extensively across the UK and internationally, often for weeks at a time, taking ownership of commissioning, troubleshooting and on-site support with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• A multi-skilled engineer or technician with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation or PLC knowledge.
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently.
• Willing to travel extensively, including long periods away from home.
• Safety focused, comfortable working at height or offshore.
• Able to read P&IDs, electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Strong communication, report writing and IT skills.
• Desirable: experience with combustion equipment or oil/gas environments.
• Time spent away from home is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and cabling systems at client sites.
• Commission equipment and perform maintenance, troubleshooting and fault analysis.
• Start up and maintain combustion products and systems like flare systems and burners.
• Prepare RAMS, site visit reports, timesheets and technical documentation.
• Identify aftermarket opportunities during site visits.
• Supervise outage work and deliver operator training on-site and in classrooms.
• Promote and adhere to all Health & Safety policies.
