Job summary

Soho House is seeking an experienced Event Director to lead strategy, delivery and production for UK, European and Asian events on a 12-month maternity cover. You will manage a cross-functional team, oversee budgets, partnerships, and ensure top-tier member experiences across regions.

The role requires extensive experience in large-scale events, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of health, safety and compliance. Global collaboration and innovative event formats are key.

Qualifications

• Event production experience in large-scale events.
• Budget creation, control and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Multi-project/program management experience.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Health and safety knowledge, permits and licenses.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Global/regional event experience (UK, Europe, Asia) is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Set event strategy and oversee production across UK, EU and Asia.
• Oversee budgets and drive cost efficiency while maintaining member experience.
• Lead cross-functional project teams with in-house and freelance staff.
• Produce events and onboard agencies for delivery as needed.
• Advance Diversity & Inclusion with partners and suppliers.
• Monitor industry trends and technology applicable to events.
• Manage post-event evaluation and stakeholder communications.
• Develop sponsorship and partnerships to offset costs.
