Job summary

BW Packaging is seeking a Lead, Engineering Excellence – Global Standards (Electrical) to develop and govern global electrical engineering standards across products and sites. The role reports to the Director of Engineering Excellence – Electrical and involves travel up to 25% initially, with broader international scope over time.

You will define design standards, libraries, and documentation frameworks, aligning with IEC, UL, CE, NFPA, and regional codes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (desired).
5+ years in electrical hardware design or standards development for industrial machinery.
Expertise in AutoCAD Electrical and familiarity with EPLAN; deep knowledge of NFPA, UL, CE, IEC.
Strong leadership and communication skills for global alignment.

Responsibilities

Develops, maintains, and governs global electrical engineering standards for disciplined engineering practice.
Defines electrical design standards, libraries, and documentation frameworks across products, sites, and regulatory environments.
Publishes, maintains, and controls global electrical standards documentation in SharePoint and related systems.
Collaborates with controls, product innovation, and operations teams to embed standards into workflows.
Drives adoption of standards through guidance, reviews, and structured knowledge sharing.
