Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks an experienced Ecotoxicology & Environmental Risk Assessment expert to join our Europe team. The role focuses on regulatory ecotoxicology for plant protection, supporting registration and dossier preparation under EU rules.

The position offers opportunities in a collaborative, international environment with potential for business development and mentoring within the ERM ecotoxicology group.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biology, Ecotoxicology or related field.
• Proven ecotoxicology risk assessment experience.
• Experience designing and monitoring ecotoxicology studies; study director experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of EU regulatory requirements for ecotoxicology studies.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with external experts.
• Experience in dossier preparation with cross‑sector regulatory knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client-facing skills valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality regulatory ecotoxicology consultancy to clients and ERM staff.
• Evaluate and summarise ecotoxicology data and risk assessments, monitor studies.
• Collaborate with clients; represent ERM in meetings and answer technical questions.
• Coordinate with other ERM experts to align project goals and timelines.
• Keep up-to-date with EU regulatory developments and provide guidance on compliance.
• Support business development through client engagement and expert groups.
