Job description

Job Description
About the role

As our Global Director, Sustainable Logistics & Distribution, you'll lead the development and execution of the LEGO® Group's global logistics sustainability strategy across warehousing and transportation operations. You'll establish a robust emissions baseline, define decarbonization pathways, and drive measurable progress toward climate ambitions. Working closely with Sustainability, Procurement, and Distribution teams, you'll help shape a lower-carbon logistics network through operational improvements, supplier engagement, and innovative technologies.

Required Qualifications
  • Led logistics sustainability and decarbonization strategies across complex multinational operations.
  • Delivered carbon accounting frameworks and Scope 3 emissions management programmes with measurable outcomes.
  • Managed global supply chain and transportation initiatives spanning multiple regions.
  • Built emissions reporting models, dashboards, and decision-support tools for business leaders.
  • Directed enterprise-wide sustainability or transformation programmes from strategy through implementation.
  • Influenced senior leaders, suppliers, and external partners to adopt large-scale change initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Applied Transport Management Systems and Warehouse Management Systems to improve logistics performance.
  • Used life cycle assessment methodologies to support sustainability decisions.
  • Combined advanced sustainability analytics with business planning and reporting.
  • Evaluated commercial and operational impacts of sustainability initiatives.
What you'll build
  • A validated global logistics emissions baseline across warehousing and transportation activities.
  • A multi-year decarbonization roadmap aligned with climate commitments and operational priorities.
  • Governance, reporting, and KPI frameworks that improve visibility and accountability.
  • Emissions reduction initiatives across transportation modes, warehousing, supplier partnerships, and operational processes.
  • Sustainability requirements embedded into supplier relationships, contracts, and performance management.

If you've worked in a role where you transformed logistics or supply chain networks while delivering measurable CO₂ reductions, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to turn ambitious goals into practical action and use data to guide decisions.

Life on the team

You’ll join Global Distribution & Logistics within Supply Chain Operations, a team focused on delivering efficient, resilient, and increasingly sustainable logistics across the global network. We work closely across regions and functions, sharing accountability and making decisions based on evidence and collaboration. What success looks like

Success means turning a complex challenge into clear progress. You’ll help build global sustainability capabilities, improve emissions visibility, and accelerate decarbonization across the logistics network. You’ll work closely with Climate & Sustainability teams, Global Procurement, Regional Logistics Operations, Finance, Supply Chain Leadership, logistics providers, carriers, and industry stakeholders as sustainability becomes an increasingly important part of how the network performs and grows.
