Job summary

Control Risks in London seeks a Consultant to deliver technical expertise across Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Cyber Security and eDiscovery for diverse clients, including law firms and government bodies.

You will lead cases for DFIR/Legal Technologies/Data Analytics teams, collaborate with Cyber Response and Investigations, and contribute to business development through articles, presentations and campaigns.

Qualifications

• Previous, demonstrable, technical computer forensics experience for cyber incident response and investigations.
• Thorough understanding of best practice procedures (NPCC, NIST, ISO17025) evidence handling, computer systems and tools of the trade.
• Thorough understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill chain frameworks, network topology and EDR solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft and Linux infrastructure and cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Google Workspace).
• Experience using common computer forensic tools for imaging/collection and analysis (e.g., EnCase, FTK, Nuix).
• Expertise in PowerShell scripting, Bash, Python, SQL and data wrangling for log analysis.
• Production of expert reports and witness statements.
• Experience in mobile device forensics.

Responsibilities

• Provide forensic/incident response consultancy and expertise in data collections and cyber security services to clients.
• Support Investigation teams across regions.
• Deliver high quality, timely, defensible outputs.
• Produce expert reports and witness statements when required.
• Provide expert testimony in court as needed.
• Engage in business development and marketing with SME input.
• Travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
