Job summary

Control Risks is seeking an Associate Consultant in London to provide technical expertise in digital forensics, incident response, cyber security and eDiscovery for diverse clients including law firms, global enterprises, and government bodies.

You will preserve digital data, perform forensic analysis, and deliver reporting for DFIR and Legal Technologies teams while collaborating with Cyber Response, Crisis Management, and Investigations divisions. International travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in forensic data acquisitions and investigations with detailed contemporaneous notes.
• Knowledge of MS, Linux, cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Google Workspace).
• Experience with common forensic tools (listed) for data acquisition and analysis.
• Ability to use PowerShell, Bash, Python, SQL and data wrangling for log analysis.
• Technical forensics experience and awareness of international standards.
• Understanding best practices in evidence handling (NPCC, NIST, ISO17025).
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, network topology and EDR solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collect and preserve digital data using standard tools and techniques.
• Provide forensic analysis and cybersecurity services to clients.
• Support investigation teams across regions.
• Deliver high-quality, defensible reports.
• Provide expert testimony when required.
• Be innovative and proactive in day-to-day duties.
• Travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
• Stay updated on the latest digital forensics techniques and tools.
