Job summary

Abbott is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Design Transfer to lead the transfer of new products and design changes from R&D into manufacturing. You will drive validation activities, risk assessments and quality processes across Abbott sites and external partners.

You will collaborate with Quality, Operations, Regulatory Affairs and R&D to ensure compliant, timely product transfers and global scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering or related discipline.
• Progressive experience within the medical device industry.
• Leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical device regulations and quality systems (FDA, ISO 13485).
• Extensive experience in product development lifecycles, design controls, design transfer and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, planning and execution of design transfer activities for new products and changes.
• Drive commercialization of diabetes care technologies from development into global manufacturing.
• Partner with cross-functional and cross-site stakeholders for successful launches and business continuity.
• Ensure compliance with Abbott Quality Systems and regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO).
• Lead validation strategies including process validation and manufacturing qualification.
