Job summary

Barrington James is partnering with a global ophthalmic medical device and pharmaceutical business to recruit a Demand & Supply Manager who will own planning and ensure products flow to customers worldwide. You will drive on-time, in-full delivery across a diverse portfolio including pharmaceuticals, surgical consumables, implants and third‑party goods.

You’ll lead a planning team, run the monthly S&OP cycle and serve as the bridge between Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Sales, Customer

Qualifications

• Experience leading S&OP and integrated business planning across demand and supply.
• Degree or equivalent hands‑on supply chain experience.
• Projects bridging commercial and supply chain teams.
• Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong Excel skills and MS Office competence.
• APICS certification and ERP familiarity (SAP/Oracle).
• GDP knowledge in a pharmaceutical setting and audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and motivate a planning team to deliver a best-in-class supply chain.
• Build the global monthly demand forecast and track forecast performance metrics.
• Prepare and drive the monthly S&OP process, reviewing the horizon to keep supply optimized.
• Spot supply constraints early and put mitigation plans in place.
• Monitor supplier performance against quality and delivery requirements.
• Own GDP oversight of supply chain activities.
• Manage product phase-ins, phase-outs and new launches with cross-functional partners.
• Drive continuous improvement and lead supply chain projects contributing to wider company initiatives.
• Provide management information to leadership and key business forums.
