Job summary

Formula 1 is seeking a Database Administrator to join the IT Systems team at our Biggin Hill site. You will install, configure, secure and maintain our database platforms, optimise performance, and support incident resolution and disaster recovery.

Ideal candidates have scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, T-SQL) and a proactive, collaborative approach to work with global teams across time zones while ensuring GDPR and ISO standards compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Organised and proactive with task management.
• Experience in working with global teams and events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain database platforms (MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Monitor performance, optimise queries and ensure security and compliance.
• Restore backups, plan DR procedures and manage incidents.
