Job summary

Owen Daniels is recruiting an International Logistics & Customs Manager in Birmingham to lead the strategic management of customs compliance and logistics partnerships across the UK, Europe and other regions. You will ensure accurate classification, valuation, and declaration of goods while optimizing duties and ensuring GDP and regulatory adherence.

The role oversees outbound freight, import/export documentation, and performance of 3PL partners, with a focus on cost efficiency, service levels,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in international customs operations and trade compliance across multiple markets.
• Strong knowledge of HS/CN codes, tariff mechanisms, and duty relief schemes.
• Proven track record managing customs brokers and multi-jurisdiction declarations.
• Familiarity with export controls, sanctions, and free trade agreement utilization.
• Experience in international logistics and 3PL partner management across regions.

Responsibilities

• Lead international customs compliance strategy and governance for core markets.
• Oversee broker relationships, documentation, and border processing for UK and international routes.
• Manage outbound freight, export/import documentation, and rules of origin.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on operational risk and opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement in customs procedures, regulatory adherence, and supplier performance.
