About This Role

The Compliance lead is responsible for ensuring that the Global CS team complies with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies and is responsible for providing compliance advice, designing appropriate processes and policies to deliver compliance requirements and acting as the subject matter expert in relevant financial and online safety regulations and as a point of contact for all JET legal, compliance and data protection teams. This role will involve the leadership of 1 compliance officer to manage the number of requests in areas including (but not limited to) KYC, Digital Services Act and the Online Safety Act.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Act as a subject matter expert in regulatory compliance within the Customer Service sphere - specifically in areas related to financial conduct and online operations.
• Act as a single point of contact for key stakeholders in legal, regulatory and compliance teams.
• Provide advice to the business and first-line teams that are involved in KYC operations.
• Proactively educate the team & key stakeholders and advise internal and external stakeholders on compliance-related projects.
• Proactively identify compliance obligations based on upcoming laws and regulations (horizon scanning) and review and maintain policies and procedures regarding new launches and business verticals.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of Self-Assessment and Internal Review Activities (SIRA) and Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA) activities.
• Interact with internal and external auditors during audits and arrange for proper follow-up of related findings

• Proven experience in a similar role within the financial industry, which is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in leading compliance-related projects and reliability in delivering on commitments and managing expectations.
• Ability to lead a team and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Well-developed analytical and decision-making abilities to make accurate and appropriate judgments on compliance-related matters.
• Ability to inspire, convince, and align with peers across a global matrix organization while understanding commercial challenges.
• Demonstrated organizational proficiency in planning and reporting.
• Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and training.
