Job summary

The Contracts Manager at Mansell Recruitment Group will provide commercial and contractual support to the Sales, Customer Support and Projects teams, ensuring contracts are negotiated, executed and administered throughout their lifecycle.

The role involves preparing and maintaining supply, purchase, sales and maintenance contracts using standard documentation, reviewing customer-proposed contracts, and mitigating risks to support successful delivery in the UK and overseas. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications, or equivalent relevant experience, in engineering, construction, law or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in a Contracts Manager or similar commercial/contractual role.
• Good knowledge of English contract law and the UK legal system.
• Strong experience identifying, assessing and mitigating contractual and commercial risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve standard contracts, templates and related documents.
• Prepare and review supply, purchase, sales and maintenance contracts.
• Review and negotiate customer and third‑party contracts, identifying key commercial, legal and operational risks.
• Advise and support Sales teams through negotiation and contracting processes.
• Collaborate with UK and overseas legal advisers for specialist input.
• Support execution and ongoing management of maintenance and other contracts.
• Assist with risk assessment and mitigation across the contract lifecycle.
• Support resolution of contractual disputes and enforcement of obligations.
