Job summary

Remitly seeks a Senior Compliance Program Manager - Global Expansion to drive governance and delivery of regulatory initiatives for international growth. You will partner with Legal, Licensing, Risk and regional teams to ensure timely regulatory submissions and robust post-approval execution.

Based in London in a hybrid role (3 days on site), you will lead cross-functional expansion workstreams, track milestones, and report to senior leadership on progress and risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, Project Management or related discipline.
• 7+ years leading complex cross-functional programmes in regulated financial services/fintech.
• Experience managing Compliance/regulatory/licensing programmes including licensing activities.
• Strong governance, regulatory change management and operational delivery knowledge.
• Experience building PMO capabilities and scalable operating models globally.
• Exceptional programme management and organisational skills for multiple initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influence without authority.
• Strong analytical skills translating regulatory requirements into executable programmes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive/Board reporting.
• Proficient with Jira, Confluence or similar tools.
• Continuous improvement mindset and collaborative cross-functional relationships.
• PM certification (PMP/PRINCE2/Agile) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead programme management for Compliance workstreams supporting global expansion.
• Manage timelines, dependencies, risks and resources across expansion initiatives.
• Prepare executive reporting, dashboards and updates for Compliance leadership.
• Coordinate licensing submissions with Legal, Licensing and regional teams.
• Monitor commitments and oversee post-approval implementation.
• Maintain licensing documentation and audit-ready governance artefacts.
• Develop governance frameworks, templates and RAID logs.
• Facilitate governance forums and working groups for expansion.
• Act as primary PM partner between Compliance and Expansion teams.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and automate delivery.
