Position Summary & Purpose

The CSI team supports Ipsen’s portfolio and growth by providing competitive insights to facilitate faster, better decision-making. This role leads CI initiatives in specific therapeutic areas, acting as a strategic partner to asset teams and leadership, supporting enterprise CI initiatives aligned with the Global Head of CSI. It is a 12-month secondment supporting rare disease assets.

Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies
  • Develop CSI operating plans, identify key threats, and prioritize analyses based on program strategy.
  • Conduct secondary research on competitive threats, providing timely insights to leadership.
  • Maintain and update competitive landscapes, timelines, and catalyst trackers.
  • Manage external CI firms for primary and secondary research.
  • Create strategic analyses (e.g., Porter's 5 Forces, SWOT, scenario planning).
  • Organize cross-functional competitive simulations and responses.
  • Update asset teams on competitive activities and implications.
  • Ensure comprehensive CI coverage at key congresses and events.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance CI research and outputs.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external CI providers.
Knowledge & Experience

Essential: 7+ years in biopharma, healthcare, or related fields; experience in strategic CI, drug development, and commercialization; strong analytical and communication skills; familiarity with Ipsen’s therapeutic areas preferred; fluency in English.

Preferred: Knowledge of clinical data, regulatory frameworks, and launch strategies; advanced degrees (PhD, MD, MBA).
